Google Buys Product Design Firm Gecko For Google X Projects

Google is on fire, the Mountain View-based company is buying Gecko design Inc. to add product-design capabilities to its Google X. Financial Terms of the deal we're not disclosed.

Google is adding some design talent this Friday, acquiring Gecko, a mechanical and product design specialist. Gecko Design Inc., which based in Los Gatos, California and founded in 1996, will join Google X lab. Gecko Design team confirmed the reports on the company's website that they are joining Google X, the search giant's top secret research lab to work on cutting edge technology and projects. 

Google X is known for projects like Google Glass, the connected eyewear; Iris, the smart contact lens and many more. The search company is investing heavily on its research lab as it seek to develop fresh and disrupting technology such as driverless car and etc. 

Gecko Design, which specializes in developing consumer-electronic products, helps design products for tech companies like Hewlett-Packard, Hellman Miller, Logitech, Sophos and FitBit.
