RhodeCode Inc., a Menlo Park and Berlin-based provider of a platform to manage and collaborate on source code, has acquired Appenlight, an application performance monitoring firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal allows RhodeCode to strengthen its portfolio by extending its current development environment with data management technologies and application monitoring. The deal will enable customers to easily gather performance metrics and accelerate the development of their web applications.
Matthew Powell, CEO Rhodecode, said in a statement: "Acquiring Appenlight is a game changer for RhodeCode and our customers. We can now deliver performance monitoring, real-time data analysis, and error alerts, so customers can optimize their application performance and service delivery. We will launch added applications on the Appenlight platform in the months to come."
Marcin Lulek, Founder and Creator Appenlight, said in a statement: "The decision to join RhodeCode makes perfect sense. Developers now code using web frameworks and cloud infrastructure while constantly deploying their applications in real-time. Web development has transitioned into Enterprise and as part of that shift putting Appenlight behind-the-firewall fits the needs of teams looking to be right on the pulse of their software's performance."
