Essentware S.A. has announced that it has acquired the PCKeeper brand from Kromtech Alliance Corporation. Kromtech’s PCKeeper is among the world’s leading provider of remote support services, which includes a unique Find & Fix feature that was unveiled at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Cologne, Germany, Kromtech Alliance Corporation is an international IT investment and development company that creates highly-rated software services for Mac to simplify digital lives of people all around the globe.
PCKeeper, originally developed by Zeobit LLC, is an optimization service package featuring a set of software utilities for Windows platform. It was released in September 2010. In May 2013, PCKeeper was acquired by German-based Kromtech Alliance. Kromtech has announced that after selling the PCKeeper brand they will focus solely on Apple-related products and services.
Once transaction is completed, PCKeeper will continue operating in partnership with Intel and Microsoft as a Gold Development Partner. The new owner Essentware has named CEO Viacheslav Kaplanian to take over and lead the development and support of PCKeeper brand. This includes expanding the products and services offerings for PCKeeper’s current and future customer base. PCKeeper is the first software product in Essentware’s portfolio and the company has announced plans to use PCKeeper’s platform and market reach to develop new applications for Windows users.
