Antuit Buys AuriQ Systems' Japanese Subsidiary

Antuit, a global Big Data solutions company, has acquired AuriQ Systems Co., Ltd. (“AuriQ”), a Japanese subsidiary of AuriQ Systems, Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal will strengthen Antuit’s product portfolio and expand its client base in the rapidly-growing Japanese market.

AuriQ Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of data management software solutions that help enterprises, datacenters and e-businesses increase revenue and reduce operation costs.

The AuriQ deal is Antuit’s second major acquisition since securing an investment from a group of investors led by Goldman Sachs. In April, Antuit bought Chicago-based analytics firm Prognos to strengthen its offerings in the retail and consumer packaged goods or CPG market.

Arijit Sengupta, CEO of Antuit, said in a statement: “This is an important milestone for Antuit as we augment our team, extend our product portfolio and expand our presence in Japan”, and also added: “We are now able to leverage the powerful capabilities of AuriQ’s products, like Essentia, to accelerate the process of analyzing all types of data and help our clients achieve business impacting results.”

Ko Ikudome, CEO and Founder of AuriQ Systems Inc., said in a statement: “We are excited to join forces with Antuit”, also added that: “The combination of Antuit’s advanced analytics solutions with our data management platform will help our clients drive even more value from disparate pools of data and achieve actionable, business-elevating results.”

Antuit will integrate into its portfolio AuriQ’s suite of data management solutions including the company’s flagship product Essentia. Antuit’s flagship product Essentia is a cloud-based solution designed to help companies manage, process and analyze vast amounts of unstructured, semi-structured and structured data. Essentia addresses common issues when working with big, complex and dark data.

Founded in 2013, Antuit is a Big Data analytics solutions company that enables enterprise clients to unlock business value from "big and little data" through a spectrum of data management, visualization, predictive and optimization solutions. The company provides cutting-edge analytics solutions for supply chain & operations, sales & marketing, and retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG). Antuit has offices and operates in  New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Jose, Seattle, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Auckland, Bangalore and Pune, India.

Before the deal, Antuit has raised $3 million from Zodius Capital and other individual investors. And in January, it secured a significant amount of investment (up to $56 million) from a group of investors led by investment bank Goldman Sachs to support its global expansion.
