Spirent Communications Acquires Epitiro, A Leading Wi-Fi Experience Monitoring Firm

Spirent Communication has acquired Epitiro, a pioneer and leader in the rapidly growing Wi-Fi experience monitoring market. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. It’s a smart move for Spirent, Epitiro’s Wi-Fi capabilities will extend Spirent’s Proactive Service Assurance Suite. Epitiro’s platform provides continuous visibility of the end-user experience by proactively performing tests that emulate realistic user activities.

Des Owens, general manager of Service Assurance at Spirent, said in a statement: “Our service provider and enterprise customers increasingly see Wi-Fi as an integral part of their strategy to provide services anywhere and anytime”, and also added that: “With this acquisition, we’re building on the success of our strategic partnership with Epitiro and see an exciting opportunity to improve the visibility of Wi-Fi experience for many more service providers and enterprises worldwide. We’ll also be better positioned to integrate Epitiro’s pioneering Wi-Fi technology across our suite and to provide our customers with seamless support and services.”
