Ball Aerospace Acquires Engineering Cyber Firm Wavefront Technologies

The deal will strengthen and diversify the company's business portfolio

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. has acquired specialized engineering cyber firm Wavefront Technologies to further strengthen and diversify its business portfolio. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2004 and based in Annapolis, Maryland, Wavefront Technologies provides systems and network engineering, software development software and analytical services for cyber and mission-focused programs to the U.S. government and commercial industry. The company has a strong small business with multiple successfully performing contracts. Following the deal, the entire Wavefront Technologies team will immediately transition to Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.

Rob Strain, President of Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp., said in a statement:

Founded in 1956 and based in Boulder, Colorado, Ball Corporation & Technologies Corp. is an American manufacturer of spacecraft, components, and instruments for national defense, civil aviation and commercial space applications. The company supports critical missions for national agencies such as the Department of Defense, NASA, NOAA and other U.S. government and commercial entities. 

In addition, Ball also develops advanced instruments and sensors, components, data exploitation systems and RF solutions for strategic, tactical and scientific applications. It employs 15,000 people worldwide.
