The deal will expands Motorsport's brand as the most comprehensive motorsports digital platform in the world.
Motorsport.com, a US-based technology and multimedia company that provides worldwide motor sports coverage in over 180 countries, has acquired U.K.-based e-commerce platform OnPole.com. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.The deal continues Motorsport's strategic business initiative of standardizing the industry’s largest motorsports e-commerce platform and supports the company’s growth into data, technology and e-commerce. As part of the transaction, Motorsport will launch its all-new e-commerce digital platform, Motorstore.com. The new e-commerce digital platform will feature the largest selection of apparel and accessories across all major motorsports series, including Formula 1, featuring such iconic brands as Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, and others.
Tracey Whitmore, General Manager of Onpole.com, said in a statement: “When evaluating opportunities to further develop our store and take it to the next level, and probably into the largest e-commerce store in the world, Motorsport.com was the only digital media business worthy of such a huge program,” and also added this: “Taking into consideration the possibilities, Motorstore.com will surely be the one-stop e-commerce solution for everything racing.”

Roche, vice president of business development, Motorsport.com, said in a statement: “Acquiring OnPole.com further expands Motorsport.com’s brand as the most comprehensive motorsports digital platform in the world,” and also added this: “The breadth of the assortment of our merchandise collection coupled with the ease of navigation will provide our online readership with an incredible online shopping experience.”
