PSS Acquires Tetra Concepts, An Intelligence And Software Design Firm

Preferred Systems Solutions (PSS) has acquired Tetra Concepts, an Intelligence Community-focused system architecture and software design firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal will strengthen PSS’s position as a leading-edge provider of high performance data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud-based solutions to the Intelligence Community. It also expanded PSS’ professional services capabilities and substantially increased its presence in a broad spectrum of critical national security programs. 

Jim Ballard, President of PSS, said in a statement: “The strategy of NSG is to build a diverse portfolio of service offerings that will complement and enhance our ability to help the Intelligence Community identify and solve their most challenging problems,” and also added this: “Tetra fits perfectly into that strategy given the expertise of their engineering team and their ability to deliver innovative solutions to their customers.”

Founded in 1991 and based in Tysons Corner, Virginia, Preferred Systems Solutions provides information technology, engineering, and program management services. The company currently provides Classified Technology Solutions, Acquisition Support, Program Management, and Financial Consulting services to government and industry clients. 

The company serves the US Intelligence Community, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Defense Logistics Agency, U.S. Transportation Command, and the Departments of Homeland Security and State. In addition, PSS has satellite offices in Lexington Park, Maryland; Norfolk, Virginia; and Fairview Heights, Illinois. It also has field locations in Hines, Illinois; Ft. Collins, Colorado; Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii; Battle Creek, Michigan; Jefferson City, Missouri; and Columbus, Ohio.
