In order to be able to keep up with the constantly increasing demand for the tracking technology, BlipTrack, BLIP Systems has employed Benjamin Bjerre Krogh as a new software developer as from 1 April 2016.
BLIP Systems is experiencing high demand for its products and, as a result, has recruited 30-year old Benjamin Bjerre Krogh. Data expert Benjamin, who specializes in traffic data, has recently completed a PhD at the Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University. He has been the recipient of several awards, including "Best Paper Award" and "Best Poster Award" at the international conference ACM Sigspatial in 2014.
Benjamin has undertaken research into the processing, indexing and analyzing of large volumes of data from thousands of vehicles in Denmark. The objective of his work was to study essential parameters in relation to the traffic infrastructure, including travel times, congestion, driving patterns and the impact of traffic lights.
We at BLIP Systems are delighted with the addition of new talents in order to meet the many new challenges and projects that lie ahead. Lars Tørholm, BLIP Systems´ CTO, explains: "We are on the cusp of launching numerous new projects and expansions on the product front. With Benjamin's extensive experience and expertise, BLIP Systems is getting a technically skilled software developer who matches the profile we are seeking exactly and who will strengthen our data analysis team. We look forward to a great partnership."
"BLIP Systems is facing a vast number of enormously exciting challenges which, in many ways, remind me of the challenges I studied in relation to GPS data. Therefore, I see great potential in transferring technology from the world of research to Blip Systems. Firstly, to conduct analyses more quickly and, secondly, to deliver better results. At the same time, BLIP Systems is tackling a crucial social issue, namely the fact that congestion on roads and in airports is a colossal drain on resources every year. In my view, being at the forefront of solving this problem and, at the same time, benefiting from my PhD studies, is therefore a great privilege," concludes Benjamin Bjerre Krogh.
